REACTION PAPER
PIRATES OF THE SILICON VALLEY

       As I was researching about the movie, I learned that it was based on the book “Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer “by Paul Freiberger.

       As a moviegoer, I find this movie interesting. At least I now know how the invention of the “Operation Systems” we used nowadays.

       The movie centers on Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. The title itself indeed has something to do with pirating. I mean “PIRATING” is one who makes use of or reproduces the work of another without authorization. But it’s not entirely pirating at all. There were certain remodelizations made or corrections to make their products more convenient in our everyday life.

       Steve jobs as a person is someone that has charisma. He can do whatever he want and tries his everything to get what he wants. But, though every person has their dark side, when he is angry he will explode and get everyone involve in his emotional explosion.

       Bill gates is a nerdy kid who is so interested in computers. He quitted Harvard just to pursue his love of computers. One thing that is similar with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs is – they get what they want --. Both of them have their own ways to obtain it.

       The world was changed ever since these two individuals emerge in their own ways. It is a good thing that even though there were “pirating” happened, they still managed to be friends.

       I strongly suggest this movie to other moviegoers!! You see, this movie really portrays how the world goes. The world is beautiful but it depends on how you shape it. You may meet people with bad attitude but whether good or bad, people that come and go can teach us something worthy.
