YAHOO! -- 

      Jerry Yang is the founder and CEO of yahoo! but later was changed to be a member of Board of Directors.
      It was launched in 1995 of January.
      "Jerry's Guide to World Wide Web" was the former name of the website of Yahoo!.
      Yahoo! stands for the "Yet Another Hierarchal  Officious Oracle".

GOOGLE -- 

      It was launched on 1996.
      Larry Page and Sergey Brin are the two founders of GOOGLE. It links to other websites that helps the inquirer a lot in finding informations or locating a certain website.

FACEBOOK -- 

      Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is the founder of Facebook and was derived from the first website that Mark has made in his University. It was called FaceMash. It makes the other students of Harvard University to vote which is  the most beautiful and not beautiful in the said University. Days later it was shut down and lead to corrective actions on the part of Mark.
      It was Launched in 2004. Their Headquarters was first located at their Dormitory and later relocated in Alto Palo, California. Mark has his roommates as helper to the creation of FACEBOOK. There were four roommates all in all.

YOUTUBE -- 

 

 

      It was Launched on 2005. Steven Shih "STEVE" Chen CEO and Co-founder of Youtube was a Chinese-American. Chad Meredith Hurley Co-founder was a American. Jawed Karim also is involve in Youtube's in the making. All of them were former employees of the Paypal.
      Youtube is a video file sharing website that lets the users and non-users see the uploaded videos.
      It was sold to GOOGLE for $1.65 Billion to evade from the copyright-infringement lawsuits.

TWITTER --

      Is a social website that lets the users and non-user see the tweet the exception is users are able to tweet (post) tweets. The user can only tweet a certain tweet using only 140 characters.

      It was launched in 2006 and went viral after months.

FOURSQUARE --

      Is a website that lets the user search for a specific establishment. Every time the user checks-in in a certain establishment, the user is given a certain REWARDS or points.
      It was launched in 2009.

INSTAGRAM --

     Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger were the founders if INSTAGRAM.
It is a pgoto sharing site were the users can upload pictures and edit it depending on the users tastes.
      It was launced in 2010 and went viral. It made a bad comments such as " it is making the people a bit NARCISSIST!" by other critics.

*Stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol.

NETWORK

*is composed of two or more computers in a single system or more systems.
 
INTRANET

*is a private network within a certain place such as a campus or company.

ARPANET

*is the United States Defense Advanced Research Agency

MULTIMEDIA

     Is a combination of one or more medias such as Text, Audio/Sounds, Animation/Video, and Graphics.


     TEXT
          *is a SILENT SPEECH. The advantage of text is you can transfer or relay informations using text with less storage file used.

     AUDIO/SOUNDS
          *is a mechanical sound wave.

     ANIMATION/VIDEO
          *is a series of images used to make an illusion that the image is moving.

     GRAPHICS
           *is a software that lets or helps play videos or images in the computer.
 

DEFINE PREZI?

      It is a slide, text, or image presentation that is equivalent to Microsoft's PowerPoint. The only thing is Prezi is made in a website using an internet connection.

      Although PREZI is much more presentable and more entertaining, you can never make a PREZI without internet connection.

 

HOW THIS SUBJECT WILL HELP YOU BECOME BETTER AT YOUR CAREER SOMEDAY?

      This subject will indeed help me in my career. I didn't know that when you are applying, it is an advantage to have a personal blog. It is, as what Mrs. Gavile said, an 'Interactive Resume' while Resume is just a Passive Resume.

      I personally hate making blogs because i don't want other people know something about me and my privacy is invaded indirectly. I am a conservative person and i'd rather be a mysterious one to others who don't know me.

      Anyways, if making a blog helps me get a job then maybe i should start liking to post and make blogs myself.

PIRATES OF THE SILICON VALLEY

       As I was researching about the movie, I learned that it was based on the book “Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer “by Paul Freiberger.

       As a moviegoer, I find this movie interesting. At least I now know how the invention of the “Operation Systems” we used nowadays.

       The movie centers on Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. The title itself indeed has something to do with pirating. I mean “PIRATING” is one who makes use of or reproduces the work of another without authorization. But it’s not entirely pirating at all. There were certain remodelizations made or corrections to make their products more convenient in our everyday life.

       Steve jobs as a person is someone that has charisma. He can do whatever he want and tries his everything to get what he wants. But, though every person has their dark side, when he is angry he will explode and get everyone involve in his emotional explosion.

       Bill gates is a nerdy kid who is so interested in computers. He quitted Harvard just to pursue his love of computers. One thing that is similar with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs is – they get what they want --. Both of them have their own ways to obtain it.

       The world was changed ever since these two individuals emerge in their own ways. It is a good thing that even though there were “pirating” happened, they still managed to be friends.

       I strongly suggest this movie to other moviegoers!! You see, this movie really portrays how the world goes. The world is beautiful but it depends on how you shape it. You may meet people with bad attitude but whether good or bad, people that come and go can teach us something worthy.

BAKING is a food cooking method using prolonged dry heat acting by convection, rather than by thermal radiation, normally in an oven, but also in hot ashes, or on hot stones. The most common baked item is bread but many other types of foods are baked. Heat is gradually transferred "from the surface of cakes, cookies and breads to their center. As heat travels through, it transforms batters and doughs into baked goods with a firm dry crust and a softer center". BAKING has been traditionally done at home by

women for domestic consumption, by men in bakeries and restaurants for local consumption and when production was industrialized, by machines in large factories. The art and skill of baking remains a fundamental one and important for nutrition, as baked goods, especially breads, are a common food, economically and culturally important. A person who prepares baked goods as a profession is called a BAKER.

I PERSONALLY LIKE TO BAKE AND ALSO MATHEMATICS. SINCE BAKING NEEDS MEASUREMENT, I CAN USE MY MATHEMATICS JUST TO GET THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF INGREDIENT I SHOULD PUT. GETTING THE RIGHT MEASUREMENT IS ONE OF THE IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD DO WHEN BAKING. EVEN A SIMPLE MISCALCULATION TO THE INGREDIENTS CAN MAKE THE BAKED PRODUCTS NOT APPETIZING TO THE CUSTOMERS OR THE GUEST.

THE SECOND ONE IS THE PASSION OR LOVE OF BAKING. LOVING SOMETHING YOU DO IS ALSO A KEY OF HAVING A GREAT RESULTS IN BAKING. THEY SAY THAT THE COOK EXPRESSES HIS/HERSELF BY THE TASTE AND THE DELICIOUSNESS OF HIS/HER DISHES. I THINK IT CAN ALSO BE APPLIED IN BAKING SINCE IT'S ALSO A WAY OF COOKING.

ALTHOUGH I CAN'T SAY THAT I'M GOOD AT BAKING AS OF

TODAY, I CAN ASSURE MYSELF THAT I LOVE DOING IT. I CAN SEE MYSELF HAVING FUN WHILE DOING IT. IT MAY BE MY HOBBY, BUT I CAN'T DO IT FOR NOW SINCE IT ALSO NEEDS EQUIPMENTS WE DON’T HAVE FOR NOW. I REALLY WANT AN OVEN.

It was very tiring at some point.

It was my first time baking, and i liked the result.

The muffins were delicious!!

at the upper right is another bowl of icing ... it's supposed to be blue .. but it became violet..
but still not bad.. :D
